Brittainy C. Cherry brings a great addition to her compass series in Eastern Lights!
Connor Roe first made his appearance as an intriguing secondary character in Southern Storms, in his own story he not only stood out but jumped off the pages. An older Connor was a brilliant and driven businessman, yet he retained the charm and goodness that first drew the attention of readers of Southern Storms. His down to earth approach to life joined with his humor and sweetness enhanced an already magnetic hero and pretty much ensured his book boyfriend status with readers.
Aaliyah Winters's life was filled with hard knocks but still she held onto the romantic that lived within her shy walls. She struggled with love and even at her lowest where she contemplated forsaking love, she ultimately went to try to find it. Strong when she needed to be and vulnerable without being a victim Aaliyah was the perfect match for Connor.
As this pair grappled with fear of being vulnerable, they shared a wonderful bond full of adventure and fun but even more so a reliable shoulder to lean on in times of trouble. Connor and Aaliyah were an extremely likeable couple, and Ms. Cherry did a lovely job of allowing readers to see why they were drawn to each other from their individual perspectives. It was impossible to not get caught up in their attraction.
Brittainy C. Cherry always goes to the edge with her characters. In Eastern Lights pain and pivotal life events shook up her characters but this author found ways to bring them the peace they need even while offering comfort to her readers as they empathized with her portrayals struggles. Eastern Lights shared the beauty of life in the most unexpected ways for a moving love story.
