Meet Your Match gives a strong introduction to Kandi Steiner's new King of the Ice series that will easily keep readers coming back for more!

Rookie Vince Tanev was hockey's newest star. He was a charismatic hotshot whose actions proved that he was more than just talk when it came to his skill on the ice. But underneath all his showboating Vince hid a depth that kept him from being just another shallow playboy and one season wonder. His sensitivity and observance cloaked in snarky banter kept him real and entertaining even while offering someone not to be overlooked and worth giving your heart to.

Maven King was a rising star in her own right with a growing media following coupled with a beauty that could not go unnoticed. She had a lot of personal baggage to go through and her hesitancy and reluctance to jump into any kind of relationship with Vince was more than understandable and relatable. Smart and thoughtful Maven was more than a match for Vince and it was no surprise that he fell for her.

This couple did a lot of push and pull before acting on their attraction but this author kept the pages lively with lots of lively exchanges and meaningful moments that built up believably to the next stage of their relationship. When this couple took the plunge their connection was full on scorching. The secondary cast in this work was highly entertaining and added a nice layer to this work.

Kandi Steiner really knows how to balance the emotions in her work. She is a hard hitter with difficult issues but knows when to lighten the mood without undermining the serious issues being dealt with. She is adept at showing her characters as flawed making them that much more attractive because of their imperfections. After a promising series start readers will look forward to what comes after Meet Your Match!
