About TEXT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME
I love you, he said.
Forever, he said.
Turns out, he lied.
When he leaves me high and dry after a cross-country move, I push him out of my life as much as I can, which is hard to do when the guy who broke your heart also happens to be the most famous dude in town.
After a disastrous year, he’s aiming to rehab his reputation, and I just so happen to be aiming for a promotion at the paper.
So, we strike a deal, and it’s a win-win all around.
Besides, what’s the harm in a few dates to charity galas anyway?
He’s arrogant, a total jerk. There’s no way I’ll fall for him…again.
I used to love him. Now I hate him…I think.

In book four of her Text series, Text Me Baby One More Time, Teagan Hunter brings past wrongs to the forefront for some serious comeuppances! Angst, laughs and a sexy simmer set the tone for one great read.
Shepard Clark was the reigning “villain” of this series, he just could not walk away from an encounter without wreaking havoc and literally clearing a room. In a nice twist this author sets up a scenario where Shep in his past with the Denny, the heroine, is referred to as “Cap” as in “Captain American,” implying that maybe there was more of a hero to Shep than met the eye. Denver “Denny” Andrews was the one that Shep pushed away but was in full possession of his heart. Full of sass Denny owned the pages as she strutted around with her no nonsense attitude that attempted to hide the emotional wounds she carried from Shep.
This couple brought out all their personal baggage and tossed it around for the readers to get up close and personal in their dynamic. A nice mix of hilarious text were well placed throughout this work showing off the leads text warrior skills for some charming moments. Ms. Hunter did a great job of going beyond the hurt and showing a sweetness to Shep and Denny’s feelings toward each other, despite the magnitude of past mistakes, giving insight as to why a second chance for them was worth a try. Exposing her characters flaws to their advantage in this story this writer was able to easily connect her readers with her portrayals as she managed to forgive the seemingly unforgivable.
Full of snarky wit and a jumble of feelings to sort through, Teagan Hunter concludes her Text series on a high five star note with Text Me Baby One More Time!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.*
