Diehard feminist Lily Philips-Thomas has a lot of rules and the cocky guitarist for the band the Wild Minds, Asher Price, is set on breaking every one of them or at the very least bending them. When the two cannot resist their attraction a whole new set of rules come into play and neither of them is prepared to follow them!
For some people love is hard to embrace. They crave it, yet do everything possible to destroy it. If they are lucky they manage to want it more then they want to be without it and Charlotte West gives a wonderful rendition of ultimately wanting love more with Lily and Ash’s story. Book three in the Wild Minds series, Bad Rules, is full of miscommunications both internal and external that run amok in this author’s one of a kind take on relationships with a rock ‘n’ roll twist. Ash and Lily were determined to not admit they wanted more than a casual fling even as their actions proved otherwise. Full of Ms. West’s angsty charm her well written words spoke volumes even as her characters muttered denials. This author always stays true to her portrayals even in their less flattering moments and you gotta love it. She uses humor as a nice device not to downplay what is going on but to move her story to the next level giving readers and her characters a little bit of breathing room in what otherwise could result in one big hot hormonal mess. Lily and Ash while seemingly incompatible yet complimented each other as characters. Theirs was a hot and stubborn romance full of extremes. Bad Rules continues this series strong trajectory of great writing and irresistible stories thanks to the wild mind of Charlotte West!
